Users help
This help page is intended to guide you through using the Cardwatch Spot
& Stop Card Fraud interactive tutorial website.
Logging in
The first screen you come to at www.cardwatch.org.uk/training asks you
to choose your log-in page. User who have been pre-registered and have
a Password should click on the ‘Registered Users’ link. Public
users should click the Public Users link. Public users can use the website
to learn about Card Fraud, which will be beneficial to their career in
dealing with plastic cards and customers.
Pre-registered Users
Please enter your Password and Surname in the boxes provided and click
the > log in button. If you are returned back to the log-in screen
then you should check you password and Surname and try again. If you continue
to experience problems please check your details with your manager.
Public Users
Please enter your details in the boxes provided. These will be the details
presented in the Certificate on completion. If you are unemployed or do
not wish to state your employer simply enter something such as ‘not
applicable’ or ‘none’. When completed click the >
log in button. If any of the boxes are left empty the application will
return you to the same page and you will have to complete the form again.
Start page
Reaching this page means that you have successfully logged in. Click
the link ‘start module 1’ at the bottom to start the first
tutorial.
The modules
All modules use a mixture of text, images and interactive
flash content. If you are unable to view the moving graphics and interactive
content you should download a flash plug in from http://www.macromedia.com.
Read and understand each section before clicking the red ‘Next’
button which will take you to the next page or section. Once you have read the
whole module, you will proceed to applicable ‘test’ section.

Taking the test
The test sections display a random five questions on the corresponding
module. Simply click the radio button for the corresponding multiple choice
answer. Do this for each of the five questions followed by the ‘Submit’
button. This will then process your answers and return a page displaying
your score and the questions you got right. If you have achieved the required
score then you will be directed to the next module through the button
at the bottom of the page. If you have not reached the required score,
click the button at the bottom of the page and review the sections you
were not sure about. Clicking the further information link next to your
incorrect question will direct you back to the relevant section.
On completion of all Modules and Tests you will be directed to your Certificate
page. Print a copy of this for your records.
Registered Users: and automatic confirmation will be sent by email to
your Manager
Public Users: No email confirmation will be made.
